As everyone else said, the pits are put back in to help prevent the guac from turning brown. I haven't made tortillas yet, but its on my "to do " list. I did make corn sopes recently (on the Bobs Red Mill blog). They turned out great and use the same flour as for corn tortillas. Your table looks very pretty :-)EA - The Spicy RDhttp://www.eastewart.com/blognoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6339763320840481095.post-69456977480399139792011-04-12T18:38:44.655+09:002011-04-12T18:38:44.655+09:00The pits are supposed to keep the guac fron turnin...The pits are supposed to keep the guac fron turning that ugly brown color...did this the other day when I made guacamole as well!Ally's Sweet and Savory Eatshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05386545618716236858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6339763320840481095.post-34307594091329432882011-04-12T05:28:03.085+09:002011-04-12T05:28:03.085+09:00I just love guacamole!

That's awesome! As for the guac, I can't believe you guys aren't avocado fans! I could eat that stuff by the cup :) And I think the pits get thrown back in to help the avocados from browning through oxidation.Nicole, RDhttp://preventionrd.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6339763320840481095.post-85798093686768352052011-04-12T02:29:46.284+09:002011-04-12T02:29:46.284+09:00Oh yeah, and I have never seen anyone put the pits...Oh yeah, and I have never seen anyone put the pits back in after, so that recipe is definitely intriguing me!KimberlyInSEAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06210846401622602752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6339763320840481095.post-18524064115501985172011-04-12T02:28:38.295+09:002011-04-12T02:28:38.295+09:00oooh I love guacamole! My fiance didn't think he liked guacamole because he'd only had the packaged mixes... the real stuff tastes nothing like the mayo version :-) <3KimberlyInSEAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06210846401622602752noreply@blogger.com
