I think I'm in love!!!

WITH MY BREAD MACHINE!!!!
Over the winter break, when we had time off from work, Ryan and I had some fun with the bread machine.  First up was using it to make pizza dough.  We often make dough from scratch for our pizzas, but this was the first time we left it up to the bread machine.  Here's how things turned out...

Yummy topppings...

We started with a layer of cheese on the bottom...

then added some sauce...

then the toppings with a little more cheese...

and it turned out wonderfully!

We had some extra dough, so we also made a calzone, which I ate the next day for lunch.

My second bread machine experiment was this sun-dried tomato and mozzarella bread.

Wet and dry ingredients are ready to go...

I was glad I was able to find this beautiful sun-dried tomatoes at the commissary...

Just before rising and baking, and I love the colors!

All done!

We decided to give my new bread slicer a try...

Look at those colors...

Now, since we had perfectly sliced bread, and even slices, it was time to put them to use.  It was grilled cheese time!  This was a super yummy treat.  I had mine with provolone cheese and it was so good.

So, that was our bread machine adventure over break.  I am so happy this kitchen gadget has been put to good use.  I know there are so many things we buy and then never really get used, but I was determined to get my money's worth out of this one.

QUESTION:  Is there a kitchen gadget you just had to have and now spends it's time hidden somewhere?  Is there a kitchen gadget currently on your wishlist?

I'm really loving my bread machine too!

The one gadget we never use is our blender. We got it as a wedding gift 4 years ago, but between the food processor and the immersion blender, we never use it.

I would really like to upgrade my stand mixer to the kitchenaid pro. I saw them on super special at Costco last week and it was hard not to buy one!

Oh that calzone looks marvelous! With that cheese just ooooozing out of it, yum!

I REALLY wanted a Magic Bullet, yet I have only used it to make one type of smoothie (of course I just got it for Christmas, so I don't know if that counts quite yet....). We don't have many kitchen gadgets because our kitchen is TINY! Seriously, I can't wait to move simply because I want a bigger kitchen. I'd love a food processor and a Kitchen Aid mixer...when we have the room!

The pizza, calzone, & bread look amazing! I can just taste the grilled cheese sandwich with the sundried tomato bread.... :)

I'm not using my blender very much since there isn't enough counter space (or cabinet space) in my kitchen (the juicer took the blender's spot). So it's in the garage, and it's just too much of a hassle to bring it up to use it...

I don't have enough room for a lot of gadgets. But I'd love a crock pot. It woul be great to come home from work and smell dinner simmering!

This really makes me want a bread machine! My sister has one so that you can set it so that in the morning you'll wake up to hot, fresh bread. I really, really want a VitaMix...my parents have one, and I swear it's the BEST blender ever!! The pizza looks yummy!

That STINKS about the wine being illegal to get over to the states!! :( Bummer! Major bummer!

Your bread maker and breads look WONDERFUL! I hate the smell of bready yeast, I'm weird. I wouldn't do well with a bread maker in my house, even though I'd love the end products! I love my stand mixer, but it stays under my counter in the cabinets unless I'm making cookies. Pathetic!

i totally need to start using my food processor! i haven't used it in forever but it's just such a pain to take out of the cabinet and clean and everything. haha also know as julie suffers from laziness.

I have a bread machine...but it's broken. It produces rock-hard breads all the freaking time. :-(

Yours make me wish mine works again! I love the things you produced! Yum!
