One Year of Blogging

I can hardly believe that one year ago today I started this blog.  My intent was to have a place to document my adventures living overseas, but still have a place to share about nutrition because I am still a dietitian even if I can't practice in the clinical setting.  I have found over the year that I have been busy learning about Azorean culture, so my blog has leaned heavily towards local food and culture.  Over the next year I hope you will continue to read about our adventures on the island, and I hope to post more information regarding nutrition, because that remains my passion.

Here is my post from last year on this day: The Start of a New Adventure.

As a token of my appreciation for helping me reach this milestone, I am having a giveaway.  No brand names you may be familiar with, but that is the fun.  I am offering a package of goodies from the Azores and Portugal.  US residents or US military (APO) addresses only please, or Portugal.

There are a few ways to enter:
1) Please leave a comment telling me what you enjoy most about my blog or your favorite post I have made over the past year.

2) Become a follower or add me to you blog roll, and leave a comment letting me know.

3) Tweet about this giveaway and my blog.  Make sure you use "@MJintheAzores has been blogging for a whole year.  She is giving away Azorean goods..." with a link to this post.  Then leave me a comment letting me know.

4) Link back to this giveaway and leave me a comment letting me know.

For each entry, please leave a separate post so I know how many entries you have.  I am sure one lucky winner will be very happy to receive some foreign goodies.  Good luck!  Giveaway will end on August 13, 2010 at midnight EST.

Oh, and thanks again.  If you like my blog, spread the word.  I hope to increase my base of regular readers over the next year.

OH YEAH! Great giveaway!!
I congratulate you for your one year blog anniversary! That's great.

The thing I like most about oyur blog (and I've said this before I'm sure) is all the traveling you do and the pictures you take, so I get to travel with you! You've "taken us" so many different places and I truly appreciate all of the cultural information I'm learned. I think my favorite was reading about the bull fighting!

I will blog about this tomorrow, and provide a link to the giveaway.

I like your blog because you live on the same island that my family is from and it is nice to see things familiar from when I visited.

Happy Anniversary for your blog! I really enjoy that you take such a healthy, encouraging approach to foods (and such exciting foods!) and that you take the opportunities you're given to try so many different things. You really have everything in moderation, and don't deprive yourself of treats! That's the sort of approach that I think is most happy :)

Hi Melinda! Congrats on the blog anniversary. Amazing how time flies! I am not entering the giveaway, because I am now living in Belgium for a summer internship!! Per your previous suggestion a while ago, I just checked out the AODA website, and emailed a few country reps about local networking opportunities. Thank you!! Am really looking forward to this summer here in Europe. HOpe you are well. -Rachel

After contemplating the completely different home vacuuming services not to mention selecting one too it is enough time to start cleaning home. At now you can actually evaluate should this home plumber is working in a good way. If that is not the case it happens to be time to seek another business enterprise. deep cleaning services dubai
