Ah, I've gone to heaven

Trader Joe's Heaven that is...

When my sister and I were out shopping the other day we were right by Trader Joe's. This meant I was free to spend some time scoping out the aisles and selecting items I want to take back with me to the island. Ryan, if you are reading, this will al be your dinner some time in the near future.

We love Indian food, and there is one Indian restaurant on the island, but these Indian dinners looked too good to pass up.

Rachel (my sister) spotted these for Ryan.
This is one of my favorites. In Vegas I used to buy lemon chili pistachios, so these should be wonderful.
I think I always buy these when I go to TJs.
I was feeling a little on the Mexican food side that day.
Had to pick up some bars. I have the black cherry almond Cliff bar in my purse right now.
I used to take this soup all the time for lunch.
Another tasty looking snack.
This is another family favorite, including our dog.
Always good to pick up some couscous and quinoa.
These will be great with fish (hopefully some that Ryan will catch spear fishing ).
Nice looking rice medley.
I love all the colors.
More yummy rice dishes.
That's it for my purchases. I hope I don't have any trouble getting them home. Looking forward to trying everything out. I am sure I will go back to Trader Joe's before I leave here, but hopefully I won't buy too much more so I can save space for new clothes!
Last night for dinner my father and step mother took me to City Cafe .
It's always good when the meal starts with nice, warm bread.
My dad and step mom shared a house salad to start.
I couldn't resist and had to get some edamame.
My dad and step mom both ordered the same thing, they really like this one. This is the spring chicken sandwich served with coleslaw.
Chicken, feta, mozzarella, tomato, roasted red pepper, EVOO, balsamic on a baguette.
Sweet potato fries for everyone to share.
I ordered the roasted eggplant sandwich, with a side of chips and salsa which I never got around to eating since there was so much food.
Marinated eggplant, artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, melted provolone, and sundried tomato pesto on toasted sour dough bread. I really liked this sandwich.
As always, there was room for dessert. This was a lemon cream coconut cake.
I could not resist ordering this. This is A cake and A Capp. It's a flourless chocolate cake and a frozen cappaccino. What a great way to end the meal.
Ok, I saved the good news/bad news for the very end. I am going to NYC tomorrow to visit my Aunt and grandparents. Lots to do, see, shop, eat and hang out. So, I am not sure if I will have access to get any blog posts up while I am there, but the good news is that when I come back (I am only going for a long weekend) I will have so much to share with all of you. I promise to take lots of pictures.
QUESTION: What is your favorite Trader Joe's product?

I love all of your Trader Joe's gets! My favorite Trader Joe's product? Well, I love so many things there. Actually, I stopped by there yesterday after teaching my early morning class to pick up some milk, and I walked out with three full bags...

I love many of their chips, and the salsa in the "skinny" jar, and the black bean dip, and the mixed dried fruits for my oatmeal...

Sounds like you are enjoying your trip! I'm glad! :)

I was JUST as Trader Joe's yesterday too! My favorite product from TJ's is their frozen broccoli. I know, BORING, but it's SO good!!! You must try it if you haven't yet. I also like their almond butter, cheese, and soymilk (with ALA fatty acids). It's delicious.

Oh my, YES, Trader Joe's is heaven indeed!! :-) Your selections look soooo amazing - thank you for introducing me to some new TJ's products I haven't tried yet! I think I need to plan a trip to TJ's very soon, now... :-) Aren't their PB filled pretzels the very best! :-) Our long standing TJ's favorite is their High Fiber O's - they are SO crunchy and delicious, and the nutrition stats are incredible!

Your dinner looks scrumptious as well... I love the cake and capp idea! :-)
