Creepy Eyes

So I guess it would not come as any surprise if I told you that I made a loaf of bread yesterday.

Didn't think so!

Seriously though there are tooooo many gooooood recipes that came with the bread machine. I decided to get into the fall spirit and make a pumpkin loaf. The recipe called for chopped nuts, but since I hate nuts inside things, I left them out.

I love the orange color.

I also really liked this recipe because it has dried cranberries in it and I love dried cranberries. Here is my batter ready to be mixed.

Looked and smelled good so I couldn't ask for anything better. Well, not true, I was hoping it tasted just as good!

Yep, it tasted just as good. Ryan was actually the guinea pig on this one and once he said it was good I quickly finished cleaning up and enjoyed a piece...or two.

Since I was in an orange kinda mood I decided to feed my dog this dog food I bought when I was in the States last month. She loved this. Go figure since it was 3 times as much as her usual food. What I did like about this was that all ingredients were whole foods/no byproducts. The first ingredient was chicken followed by chicken broth, and so on.
Then we made a trip to the Modelo (sorta like a super walmart but smaller) across town in Angra. When we were in the cereal aisle Ryan made a discovery. In the United States you will usually find that sugar cereals take up the first 2 rows up from the ground, and then above that is "adult" cereal or healthy options. This is done on purpose as this is kid level and they WANT those sugary cereals. Have you ever seen a kid grab a box of sugar cereal and just toss it in the cart with out the parents ever noticing...sounds like a commercial, but it does happen! So in this store the left side was all healthy cereals and the right side was sugar cereals. Ok, a few on the left side were questionable, but for the most part this was what we observed.
I had to take pics of these even though this wasn't my dinner. Ryan made some chicken quesadillas on the digital griddle and I had fun watching him do this. We spent most of dinner brainstorming other uses for this fun kitchen gadget.

Ok, now we get to the creepy eyes! Ryan was watching something on the internet and next thing I know he is asking for colored paper. Then he brings me to the kitchen to work on a craft project. At this point he still hasn't told me exactly what we are doing, just that I should follow these directions. So here is the process...

And DONE!
So what comes next? If you guessed CREEPY EYES then you are 100% CORRECT.
This 3D dragon is designed so that if you close one eye and move around he will never take his eyes off you. It is a little more difficult to see in the pics, but when we video taped it this was the creepest piece of paper I have ever seen. So the next few pictures are taken with the dragon in the same spot, but I am the one moving with the camera. Let me know if you can see the trick.

For me it's the last 2 where he is looking down and then looking up that are the creepiest.

QUESTION: Have you ever seen a trick like this? What is your favorite 3D "trick"?

Updates:
Today I started a new part time job at the American School and I will fill everyone in on that soon.
Also, if you haven't already checked out the Food Should Taste Good giveaway from Lainie at Deliciously fit, make sure you do that by Saturday night.

I've never seen these 3D tricks before!! This is new to me. Sounds entertaining, and of course creepy too. When eyes are alwys looking at me, it's creepy!

The bread looks fantastic. I can tell it's super moist and delicious.

I will never let my children throw crappy cereal in our cart. Trust me, it won't happen. However, I do believe it DOES happen to other people, as I'm an RD and I think about this stuff, most people don't. It's too bad.

Hi there! I can't believe I have never actually commented on your blog. I am back in school to be an RD, so I am especially enjoying following those of you who are already working in the field.

That bread looks so good. It looks very doughy, which is the way I like it.

That dragon is creepy! I love 3-D tricks.
