Relaxin'

Ahhh, time to relax. Well, almost. I have a few more things I am working on, one of which is endulging in some blog reading. But then it is time to relax. Ryan has a 3 day weekend, so I am looking forward to doing some relaxing with him.

So, what does relaxation look and/or feel like for you.

A beach...This is Angra, on a busy day, so probably not the most relaxing picture.

A great view from on top of the Grand Canyon...

Looking into the beauty that is the Grand Canyon. Ok, this picture was actually taken from inside a tiny plane that flew over the GC and may not have been the most relaxing of all moments, but the picture is certainly beautiful.

This view from up on top of Mt. Charleston in Las Vegas, this is known as Cathedral rock. (This is a bit relaxing for me, after the nice hike up, Ryan proposed!!!)
The sunset in San Diego over looking the beach...
Paddling down the Colorado river with Nevada on your right and Arizona on your left.
This view in Montana...
Nope, not relaxing, but a day at the Baltimore Aquarium was a great way to relax and learn something at the same time.
Hanging out in Napa Valley at COPIA in the gardens...
While all of those could be great relaxing activities, here is how I plan to relax over the next few days...with a good book, chillin' on the couch!
QUESTIONS: What about you, what do you like to do for relaxation/to relax/what makes you feel relaxed? Also, are you reading any good books right now?
Oh, and thanks for sharing about your hobbies. I found it is good to mix some that can be enjoyed for free (like bike riding) with others that might be more expensive (like collecting old movies and watching them).

OH I am SO jealous of all of your travels. And, how romantic of Ryan to propose on top of such a gorgeous rock, with such a wonderful view!

I love relaxing with a good book. I was never a book worm, but this summer I became addicted to books. Currently I am reading a book by Jane Green called Dune Road. It's really good, but not as good as her other book, The Beach House, one of my favorites!

Hmm relaxing. Sadly, it feels like I have to get away to really relax anymore. Whenever I'm at home there just seem to be too many things to do! But I do enjoy traveling, and thing like lazy Sunday afternoons. And reading. Lots and lots of reading. I just finished The Lacuna, by Barbara Kingslover. It was pretty good.

As for the fall weather, it's been consistently cold and gray here for about a week. Is there any cooling off in fall where you are?

Love all the travel pictures!! I am most relaxed on a vacation, just seeing the sights and enjoying all the local food. I also really enjoy cooking/baking for relaxation. Nothing relaxes me more than seeing my mom and family :) bike riding is not free!!! It's an expensive hobby, but I'm slowly trying to get the gear ;)

What a great time you had! I'm sad to say I've never ever been to that side of the country! :-(
